The Gastric Sleeve Procedure Process

It all starts with you contacting Medi Makeovers and filling in the evaluation form

Discussion With Surgeon

We will discuss with our surgeon if you are a good candidate for gastric sleeve surgery or not. Assuming you are a good candidate, we will confirm that you can undergo surgery and provide you with a quote.

You can then make a booking for surgery. You will need to spend a minimum of 7 nights in Bangkok or Istanbul; you can, of course, stay longer. During your stay, you will spend 3-4 nights in the hospital We will look after all appointments and book your hotel. You can bring someone with you, or you can travel alone.

Further Assesment, If Necessary

If you are instructed to complete a sleep study by the surgeon, we will advise you of this.

Clients with sleep apnoea will need to use CPAP machine for minimum 14 nights before coming over for surgery. The CPAP machine helps you to breath when you are sleeping.

Arrival In Bangkok

Our driver will pick you up at the airport when you arrive in Bangkok. Your first night will be in our stunning 5-star hotel. You can enjoy this day to yourself, and we strongly advise you to get a 2-hour massage package pre-surgery. We can advise you of this beautiful package if you wish to take advantage of this. Or enjoy the hotel, shopping centers, or tour of Bangkok.

Our driver will bring you to the hospital the following day, where the pre-operative checks will begin. Our team will already advise you of the procedure for this day before you fly out. Your Medi Makeovers team member would have already given you your timeline with all details for your trip with us. All surgery information will be personalized for you.

Surgery Day: The New You

Your surgery day will not be a surprise, as the Medi Makeovers team will have given you all information. The first night after surgery is usually spent in the intensive care unit. You will then be transferred to the ward, where you will spend the remaining nights. You will likely be out of the bed the day after surgery or even the same day, depending on your condition. Your surgeon will check up on you during the hospital stay.

Support & Recovery

After spending 4 nights in the hospital, our driver will bring you back to our fantastic hotel for your recovery phase.

You will be given all information about your post-op checkups with the nurse and the doctor, and all you need to do now is rest and recover. It is essential to stay in our gorgeous hotel – all you have to do is open the door to the foyer entrance in our lobby, and you will walk into eight levels of shopping, cinema, cafes, etc.

The center is also attached to the sky train, so when you feel better, you can move around more and venture out further.
