”It’s been just over 3 and a half months since I got my breast surgery and I couldn’t be happier! My consultant Dani looked after me from day 1 of me making the decision I was going to look into this procedure right until I was back in Australia after my surgery. My surgeon Dr Teerapat was amazing and so professional and helped me make my decision on the best size to go and I’m glad I listened to him because the size he recommended is perfect although I originally thought I should go bigger I’m glad I didn’t. My hospital stay was 3 nights in total (the night before the procedure and two after) the staff where great and always attended to my needs and made sure my stay was as comfortable as possible , the food was also great with a decent menu to choose from.
My hospital room was actually like I was in my very own little apartment it did not feel like a I was in a hospital half the time.
My procedure went so well that I was able to walk around in minimal pain by day 3 and go sight seeing around Bangkok for the 7 days after my surgery, I went to the night markets , in tuk Tuks , to skybar , on a river cruise for a dinner and entertainment, to many different temples and to the Aquarium and madame Tussaud’s , I even found a cat cafe !!! The accommodation – Grande Centre Point Terminal 21, that was recommended was luxurious and when I wasn’t out exploring I was there relaxing. Since my surgery my breasts have started to soften and look more natural (I went 325cc high profile) and my scaring is minimal already ! A lot of people told me not to go to Bangkok and that I was crazy to go there to get my surgery but I’m glad I didn’t let them talk me out of this because my experience and result couldn’t be better and I would recommend anyone who wants surgery to go through Medi Makeovers.

”I have just arrived back home today after having my Breast Augmentation (325cc , round , high profile , under muscle , inframammary incision) with Dr Worapong. I cannot he happier with the entire process, I was terrified of the whole having surgery overseas and not knowing what to expect – before my trip – but the nurses are amazing, the doctor did an amazing job and the staff at Medi Makeovers covered everything.
If you are going over for surgery I can tell u that by day 3 the majority of any pain or mostly discomfort will be over. My advice is pack mainly loose dresses with buttons or zips-as I did get quite bloated after surgery but it went away after I was off the pain meds-which was day 5. By that point I was going on tours and shopping trips with my family. Just take rests and drink lots if water. You will be very surprised how quick your body recovers and the difference each day makes after the first 2 days. I can’t be thankful enough to all the staff.

”I have always been conscious of my lopsided breasts and did see many surgeons over the years with different suggestions. But I finally decided to go with Medi Makeovers as my surgeon really seemed to understand my concerns and I was able to do this in one surgery - not two, as other surgeons suggested.

”I would just like to thank Medi Makeovers for the incredible service and experience I had recently as a client. After losing a large amount of weight, I made the decision to have a breast augmentation.
I checked out a few companies on the internet that organised medical procedures in other countries, knowing I could never afford to have the job done in Australia. I chose Medi Makeovers as they had 8 plus years of experience and they took care of everything. From picking you up at the airport gate before you get through immigration, to dropping you back to the airport ready to fly home.
From the moment I spoke to Kim, my consultant, I knew I had made the right choice. She guided me through the whole procedure and I was advised that after breastfeeding 6 children and with such little breast tissue, I also needed a lift. I was a little scared of the additional procedure and scarring to which she sent me pictures of her own breast lift and augmentation. Kim gave me the confidence to go ahead with the additional procedure. They genuinely want good outcomes for their clients and put in a 200% effort to ensure everything is worry free.
Dr Rungkit was my surgeon and he is such a lovely man. I asked him for spectacular boobs and that’s what I got!! At 52 I went from a 12AA to a 12 C, a genuine miracle considering what he had to work with. They look perfectly natural and because I wore heavily padded bras beforehand, they are not obvious. I am so happy with the result.
The private room at the hospital, the staff and hospital itself I could not recommend more highly. The level of cleanliness and patient care surpassed anything I have experienced in a public hospital here in Australia. I’ve never stayed in a private hospital before so that was another great experience for me.
I can’t finish this testimonial without mentioning Daniela, the Company Director and James, their rep in Bangkok. Unbeknown to me, Daniela was in Bangkok on business at the time. She took the time out of her busy schedule to meet with me and escort me on each and every appointment. ”Hi everyone! I’m 3.5 weeks post op and I thought I’d share my experience with you all. I had a breast lift with augmentation (under the muscle) with Dr Thiti. My experience from beginning to end was wonderful and I couldn’t be happier with my results so far. The hospital made me feel very comfortable and the nurses were lovely.
Dr Thiti listened carefully to my concerns and questions and provided very insightful input. I found him endearing and judging by his work on my breasts, he is a very skilled and experienced surgeon. I went into our consultation with a positive open mind and a few pics of what size breasts I wanted, based on my general body frame. My main concern was getting rid of my saggy girls! But I also wanted to be busty and proportionate to my body. I am so happy with the size of implants that we agreed on.
Recovery was a rollercoaster. Post op you feel pain, but not as much as I was expecting. By day 3 I was fine to walk around and even shop a bit. The worst part for me was the swelling. Due to the IVs/meds and surgery trauma, your body retains a lot of fluid that takes time to make its way out of your system. I felt like a blimp for 7 days. I had a couple panic moments during that first week that maybe I made a mistake and went for boobs that were too big. But this was all swelling that subsided. And after one week I started to feel amazing, swelling went down substantially, and I could fit into my clothes again – haha.
I can’t thank Daniela and Zara enough for their help with my journey. I’d do it a thousand times over again! Best of luck to anyone embarking on this awesome adventure. Stay positive, have realistic expectations and listen to your body 🙂

I stayed in hospital two nights and after that I was shopping up a storm everyday and enjoying the amazing Thai food! Will be going back soon using Medi Makeovers to get my teeth done. ”Just thought I would share my Breast Augmenation experience for those of you who are having future surgery, mainly to give some encouragement that not all cases are extremely scary & painful! I had my surgery in January with Dr Worapong, 325 CC, high profile, dual plane. I have gone from a B cup to DD (still with a bit of swelling). My surgery was at 1pm and I was on morphine for about 24 hours. Slightly uncomfortable, in the first 24 hours, but nothing too serious.
Midday after surgery I was off the morphine, able to walk about the ward to visit the other girls, and if I felt any pain come on the nurses topped me up with oral meds straight away. Second morning after surgery I had my drains taken out and bandages removed with very little pain. Went to our hotel and haven’t had to take any pain medication since leaving the hospital just over 48 hours after surgery.
I know not all cases are the same and that I have been very lucky, but you may be just as lucky as I was Best of luck for the girls going in for future surgery and a HUGE thank you to the girls at Medi Makeovers for taking amazing care of me pre and post-surgery. Your service and care is unbeatable! xxx

”I had been doing my research about surgery on Thailand and had originally been looking with another agency until I came across Medi Makeovers. From the first enquiry till I got on the plane to come home they were amazing!
The whole process of booking in to go over on the February group tour was simple and completed in a week or so and any questions I had were answered in a heartbeat.
Landing in Bangkok there was somebody to meet me at my gate and accompany me to their driver to the hospital and then I was met at the hospital.

”I am not at all disappointed. This is my first surgery and first trip overseas; I recently travelled to Bangkok with Medi Makeovers for breast augmentation. From my initial enquiry to present (1 month post op) I have been treated with 5 star service. My surgeon, Dr Worapong educated me on the teardrop shape which I am more than satisfied with. Kim, my consultant has done an amazing job communicating with me and organising everything. I cannot fault Medi Makeovers or the hospital and its staff.
The hospital is similar to an experience I had at the Four Seasons hotel! I had a team of approximately 5 pre-operative nurses, doctors and personal assistants who were available around the clock. ”I could not fault my experience what so ever!
From the beginning my consultant provided me with so much information I could relax and just get eager for my new holiday knowing that everything was being taken care of for me. She even provided me with information on where to exit the airport to find the driver who was picking me up! When me and my partner were dropped off at our hotel (Grande Centre Point Hotel next to Terminal 21) we were shocked at how immaculate and well-presented it was. All the staff were amazing and so helpful. Going in for the consultation I was nervous but once I had arrived to the hospital I knew that I was in safe hands, I explained to Dr Worapong exactly what outcomes I was hoping for and he told what I would need surgery wise to get my desired outcome. He knew exactly what he was doing and was very gentle and kind.
It must have been apparent that I was nervous when I was being taken down to the theatre room as one of the nurses took my hand and reassured me. After surgery I was treated so well being checked on regularly and waited on hand and foot by all the hospital staff. After about day 4 I was up and about (slowly and resting every 30 mins) but I was keen to do some shopping. MBK in Bangkok near the National Stadium was a favourite for me, I returned 4 more times during our stay!
I am so happy and thrilled with the excellent job Dr Worapong done, they look even better than I had hoped for.

”The surgeon and staff at the hospital were very thorough. They ensured that post surgery my recovery was going smoothly at all times. The level of care and attention is to be commended. I was surprised that recovery was quicker than I expected. 3 days after surgery I was able to go out and sight see while on medication.
The consultation was as I had hoped. Once the surgeon saw me he was able to evaluate what procedures were appropriate and we were able to make changes with the style of implant. I was hoping for larger breasts as mine deflated from exercising. Having my nose straightened was something I decided to have done as I was concerned that it would affect my breathing and bring on side effects. The results will be very good once the swelling disappears. My experience with Medi Makeovers has been very positive and didn’t consider anyone else for these procedures.
Before arrival to Thailand I spent many months getting physically fit with my partner. It was important that I felt my best prior to surgery and followed all of the health guidelines to ensure that there were no complications.

”I’ve been wanting my boobs done since I gave birth to my oldest son 25 years ago. I had for many many years been self-conscious about how I looked in tops and dresses and then 2 years ago lost 30kgs and my bra size decreased from DD to a saggy B, and I seriously started to revisit my Dream of surgery.
I had 2 consultations in Sydney and quoted for a lift and augmentation $14,000!! I then started looking into Thailand. After liking a few plastic surgery pages on facebook a before and after photo from Medi Makeovers appeared on my news feed. I was amazed by the after photos so I looked into this company further. I sent the enquiry form off and within the hour I had a response from Kim. I had also sent another enquiry form to another company and it took 3 days for them to respond. I knew then I had found the right company. I sent Kim and this other company my photos and the communication with Kim was outstanding. The other company not so. It didn’t matter what time or day I emailed Kim she always responded promptly and all my questions were answered and everything, I mean everything was organised for me.
I received my written recommendations from Dr Rungkit and decided to book my surgery date and pay my deposit. I still had not received the recommendations from the other company but that didn’t matter as I was confident in my decision to stick with Medi Makeovers.
I did however receive the information from the other company and I was shocked!! They had sent me someone else’s quote that had attached ALL her photos. I informed them if this and informed them I had decided to go with someone else! I thought if they can’t get the quote right what else could possibly go wrong!
I decided to pay the $500 and join the January escorted group, I was hesitant about this at first but so glad I did. Everything was organised for you, the only thing I had to think about was what to wear that day!
My surgery, Dr Rungkit, well what can I say other than AMAZING! I was understandably anxious the day of my surgery but the minute I walked out of the consultation I knew I was in the best hands. He was honest, and had a very calming nature. From there I was taken to my room in the hospital and again I was amazed. The standard of the hospital to what is offered here in Australia well doesn’t compare.
I had my surgery on the 3rd Feb at 8pm and Dr Rungkit came and saw me early the next morning and told me that he did give me the implant size I was wanting and that everything went very well! I’ve gone from a saggy B to a massive full E!!!!
I have to admit I didn’t experience any pain just tightness on my chest. Zara and the lovely Miss James and Bo came to see me in hospital and I was extremely well looked after. The nurses are amazing and nothing was a drama for them.
It was a truly unique experience to share with 5 other strangers but one we never forget. It was comforting to have others having the same procedure done around. We left Thailand all friends that still keep in touch. Zara and Miss Bo are priceless. Their knowledge of Bangkok is incredible and if you wanted to know anything or go anywhere they made it happen. Also knowing that I could go back to the hospital if I had any concerns was also very comforting. Nothing and I mean nothing was a problem.
8 weeks on and I’m so happy that I have done this and I’m over the moon with my results. I could not have done this without Kim, Zara and Medi Makeovers. Their on the ground knowledge and relationships they have built in Bangkok is very evident while you’re there. The hotel was 5 star and just incredible and I can’t recommend Medi Makeovers highly enough. Hands down one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself and honestly have no regrets about choosing to go to Thailand. Even my GP when I got home was super impressed with my incisions and asked me who I went through and was happy to say Medi Makeovers.

”Well where to start…. I am a couple of days from returning from the breast trip ever to Thailand for Breast Augmentation Surgery, I can honestly say it was the most amazing experience. I had been researching as many of us do for ages, you come across so many agencies and I always came back to Medi Makeovers and I am so glad that I made the final decision to go with them, also a friend had been through them earlier in the year, From the first contact with them was an instant phone call, they sent me the forms etc, and just made the whole process so easy!!
So I arrived in Thailand, they had given me all the info to meet the driver, so easy and the lady was lovely. There was also another girl meeting there from Australia through Medi Makeovers, so were both together which was cool, we then take off, music playing in the aircon’d van!! And take off to the hotel Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 - you are going to be blown away when you pull up here, the bell boys meet you with their smiles and take your bags and you walk into this amazing reception area. The girls behind the desk are so welcoming and easy to communicate with, I was lucky enough to be on the 31st floor (wholey moley what a view of Bangkok, don’t shut your blinds it’s AMAZING!!). The next day I get taken to the hospital for my consult, get all the test under the sun in record time, not like here in Aus, the staff in the hospital are fab, wait til you see the waiting room there, the hospital itself is like a hotel!
My surgeon was Dr Worapong (Bangpkok 9 hospital) I did google him before I went over and didn’t see much about him, But WOW what an awesome guy, I am stoked I had him, his bedside manner is the best, from the time I walked into his room I felt relaxed. We chatted about what size I wanted, he drew on my boobs, and I kind of let him do his thing after all he is the doctor! and he told me what CC he thought I should go with and I am so happy he did, and hour later I am wheeled down to the surgery room with a bunch of smiling face’s ready to give me my new body!! All I remember was waking up in recovery with a couple of more smiling ladies giving me a drink which I had asked for. When you get back to your room the nurses are in every 15min or so, I had a million ice coffees and the yummiest hospital food!! What also blew me away though was the next morning Dr Worapong was in to see how I was feeling, and undone my bandages to see his work! He was happy and I was stoked with the new girls, I felt amazing and was discharged later that day.
The next couple of days consisted of the best buffet brekkies with great company (girls from Medi Makeovers) the biggest shopping malls MBK and Platinum, don’t take too much in your suitcase these places are cheap as chips and you shop up a storm, every girls dream lol. We went out for dinners was a pretty cool place to recover!
There is also an awesome 7+ storey plaza next to the hotel, well actually at your back door really, that has great food I used the supermarket there heaps as you have a fridge in you room so it’s very handy! And great shopping.
The massages are amazing to, we tried to have one a day! (Hard life lol) the sky train is literally at the hotel and SO easy to use.
A week after shopping and oh yeah – surgery, I was back at the hospital to get my stitches out, and guess what you see the Dr that operated on you, I was blown away, you usually get a nurse or someone else, but Dr Worapong asked how they were feeling, was very happy with the recovery and took out my stitches, I was scared about them coming out and honestly you don’t feel a thing, he asked if I had any questions, showed me how to massage them and that was that, we were both happy.
For me my experience in Thailand and with Medi Makeovers it was surreal, I am more than happy with my decision to go with the best company who honestly have your best interest at heart, they have been in the hospitals, they know all the surgeons, and make the experience easier, all you really have to do is turn up!
I honestly can’t thank the team at Medi Makeovers enough for what they do, they work so hard to make the experience over to Thailand smooth for us. And also a MASSIVE thank-you to the best Dr I’ve ever had Dr Worapong I feel blessed to have had him work on me, he is an amazing surgeon. ”Oh my gosh.. Thank you, thank you thank you!! From the first email I sent to enquire about breast augmentation to after surgery today, the entire process has exceeded my expectations in so many ways.
Where do I start?
I booked in my surgery and time luckily went so quick and before I knew it I was off to Bangkok, to do something for myself that has honestly made me so happy. After having 2 children, and breast feeding both, I hated my boobs. I felt uncomfortable in bikinis, some clothes and couldn’t look at my reflection when I got out the shower. Yes I may sound hard on myself, but my boobs that were once nice and full, were empty sacks if skin.
I did my research (and I mean I really looked into) with many companies offering what Medi Makeovers does. I sent off many enquiries, asked heaps of questions, read through reviews and watched YouTube. The prompt reply from Kerri, her professional responses and her genuine care about me (not just my money) was why I chose them as the right service for me.
So in April 2014 (3 weeks ago now), my husband and I set off to Bangkok, leaving 2 kids behind for 2 weeks. Medi Makeovers took every single stress out of our holiday which I loved. We were met at the airport and taken in our chauffeured vehicle to our hotel. We had 4 days before surgery, just so we could explore and have a bit of a holiday. On the day of surgery, we were picked up again by our vehicle and taken to the Bangpakok hospital. I met with Dr Worapong, who is very serious, but so professional and I could tell he had plenty of experience so I really trusted him, which helped me feel at ease. We discussed implant size, he answered every question and concern I had. The nurses- wow!! Some of the nicest, sweetest ladies I’ve ever met.
The hospital rooms, well I prefer to call them hotel rooms and put some of the hospitals in Australia to shame.
Surgery went so well, once I woke up, I was in no pain. Was able to walk to the toilet with ease. Believe it or not, the food was even good (plus a Starbucks in the hospital was a bonus).
After 2 nights, I was able (but sad) to leave. The nurses made sure I had sufficient pain killers and sleeping tablets and to be honest, I never felt much pain at all. We were driven to our next hotel.. The Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 Hotel, if I could rate this place out if 10, I give it 20! We felt like royalty. 32nd floor in a deluxe room with an amazing view. With Medi Makeovers, you get to eat breakfast in the Executive dining room. This buffet was incredible. I have come back to Oz 3kgs heavier and it’s not because of the boobs. Yum!
Besides the breakfast, another highlight was the hotel being above an 8 story shopping centre. It has a supermarket on the bottom floor, some great clothes stores (including H & M) and 2 levels of restaurants at the top. I was able to walk around the day after surgery, nothing stops me from shopping. I had plenty of rest and recovered so so well.
A week after surgery, we were taken back to see Dr Worapong to get my stitches out. I’ve never had stitches so I was a bit nervous. Before Dr Worapong came in the room, the nurses and I made a challenge, who could make Dr Worapong smile. He’s that serious. He took my stitches out, which I didn’t feel at all, and I managed a couple of smirks from him so I was happy. He said I had healed and recovered well and that was reassuring.
Back to the hotel we went to prepare to leave the next day. We were so sad to leave but ready to see our kids.
I’m a store manager in a retail store and started back straight away, so 10 days after surgery. I just made sure I didn’t lift anything heavy and I was fine.
Sorry for this novel, but I truly am so happy about every part of my adventure to Bangkok. Love my new boobs and have gained so much confidence.

”I have wanted to have Breast Augmentation Surgery for ten years now. I initially consulted with a surgeon in Darwin. That whole experience from the phone call to booking the appointment, to the consultation with the surgeon was disgraceful. The receptionist was rude both over the phone and when I went in for the consultation. The surgeon himself was quite unprofessional and he made me feel as though I wasn’t worthy enough of having the surgery. I was quoted $11,000 AUD, and this did not include accommodation, flights, compression garments, etc. Several friends of mine recommended I go to Thailand to have the surgery, because not only was it cheaper for the surgery itself and included a holiday, but they said the service they received was amazing! (And they were right). So I started to google travel managers who dealt purely with surgery in Thailand as I didn’t want to organise this myself due to lack of time. I found three companies and I contacted all of them. Medi Makeovers were prompt to respond, most helpful, and were also the nicest, and in fact they were the only company who organise absolutely everything. The only thing I had to do was take photos of my breasts and pick which hotel I wanted to stay at after surgery. Right from the word go I have had nothing to fault Medi Makeovers on. I do have to admit I was quite sceptical about having this kind of treatment overseas, but I can proudly say that Bangpakok 9 International is the most professional and admirable (in terms of comfort and looks) hospital I have ever been a patient at. The entire staff there makes our Australian hospitals and private surgeons look silly! As soon as I landed I was greeted by a gentleman who fast tracked my partner and I through to collect our bags and through customs. We were out of the airport within 10 minutes. We were transported to the hospital. As soon as I got out of the car there was nurses standing there who greeted me by my first name, took our bags up to our room (which was like a hotel room), and informed me of when my pre-op appointment was. I was speechless with how welcoming they all were. Both before and after surgery, the nurses were so kind and gentle, everything was explained so thoroughly and not once did I feel scared or worry about my safety. Dr Worapong was my surgeon, and although he is a man of little words, I felt he genuinely cared about me and what I wanted. I had a breast augmentation with 350cc round implants. The week after surgery was spent at tourist attractions and relaxing (lots of massages). I highly recommend Medi Makeovers as travel managers, they made it the easiest holiday I have ever had, plus I came back a happier woman with my new assets!

”My name is Linda; I am currently 2 weeks post op and I love the results and experience I had- everything went very smoothly. I’m well aware of the many sceptical thoughts that people have in regards to surgery overseas, however as I’ve had many friends have cosmetic surgery in all various parts of the world with great results, I decided to pursue cosmetic surgery abroad. Previously I had done my research in regards to having a BA in Melbourne but found the prices to be very dear.
As a part of a birthday gift to myself, I found Medi makeovers through friends and arranged to have my breast augmentation in Thailand. I booked this approximately 9 months in advance with Kim Pitkin as my consultant – throughout the 9 months she kept in contact with me, arranged my consultation, reminded me of important dates and arranged my transportation, gave me tips about shopping and leisure in Bangkok and made sure that I was well informed. I appreciated her efforts to go above and beyond for me to make sure I was comfortable and prepared for travel and surgery.
On arrival in Bangkok I stayed at the Grande Centrepoint Hotel at terminal 21 as arranged through Medi makeovers. The staff were lovely and prompt, the food was excellent and the venue is better than any 5 star hotel that you would find here in Australia. I was surprised with a birthday cake by the staff on the evening of my birthday; which was such a wonderful gesture and showed that they really do take care for their clients.
My surgery was performed by Dr. Worapong; everything went very smoothly - I remember being taken into the theatre room and waking up in recovery with minimal discomfort. Dr. Worapong suggested 325 cc high profile dual plane under the breast incision would be best for my body type and I agreed. I stayed at the Bangkok 9 hospital for 3 days and was very well catered for; in particular as I am a picky eater! Everything I requested ie. Lactose –free, vegetarian, non-diary, no rice, gluten-free: It was accommodated and I was grateful for it. The director of the hospital even made a personal visit to my room to greet me and wish me well! I can say that’s something you probably wouldn’t get back in Australia.
I returned to the hotel and once again it was a wonderful experience for the rest of my stay. I kept in contact with Kim (my consultant from MM) and the hotel staff were very understanding of my needs as I was post op; they supplied me with many pillows and suggestions for light leisure activities that I could do.
Transport to and from the hospital and airport was arranged by MM and they were ALWAYS on time, down to the very minute!
Overall my experience with MM and Bangkok 9 hospital has been excellent and I truly cannot fault them. I would definitely use their services again in future and recommend it to friends and family. I understand the many worries that people have in regards to surgery overseas, but reality is that it is becoming very common due to this exact reason – the 5 star experience that you would never get back home at a small fraction of the price.

”I knew that I wanted to have rhinoplasty and breast augmentation, but there was no way I could afford to have it in Australia.
So affordability played a big factor in having my surgery in Thailand, but of course finding a reputable company & surgeon was also a big factor.
I researched online & decided to contact Medi Makeovers. What appealed to me was the quick response & all of my questions were answered thoroughly. Kim was my consultant in Australia, I could call her at anytime & she answered all of my emails almost immediately. Kim was extremely professional and never pressured me in any way, making me feel comfortable to ask her anything.
Dr Rungkit was my surgeon, I really liked him. He made me feel at ease & his English was excellent. He was professional, but also warm & friendly. All the risks were made very clear to me & I knew exactly what to expect. I felt very safe in his capable hands. Miss James was my Medi Makeovers client manager in Bangkok, she sat in on every appointment. She was just lovely & it was nice to have her there for support. You have Miss James phone number once you leave hospital, you can contact her at any time. You can also see Dr Rungkit at any time, even if you don't have an appointment.
The hospital where you have your surgery is much like our hospitals, but with a much better level of care. You get your own private room, with your own bathroom, much nicer than a shared ward. The nurses are all lovely & attentive, they come immediately when you press the buzzer.
Don't listen to comments like " I can't believe your having surgery in a third world country". It couldn't be further from the truth. The hospital is extremely hygienic, all the medical staff are qualified. The reality is you would never get that level of personal attention & care in Australia. A friend had the same procedures as me in Australia & was released to go home after one night. I spent four nights in hospital, with intravenous antibiotics and constant care.
Bangkok itself is a very easy city to get around, I find it a lot less confusing than Sydney. The sky train is in English & is so easy to catch. Most people speak good English & I found everyone very friendly and helpful. Of course the shopping is great.
I stayed at the Grande Centre Point terminal 21, it's worth every penny. It's five star all the way. It is extremely comfortable, which is exactly what you need. The room had a small kitchen and washer & dryer, which was great. The TV had good English movie channels, you'll watch a lot of movies while recovering. Breakfast was served in the executive lounge, which was really very nice & a lot less people. The staff were extremely nice & helpful.The location is perfect, a great shopping center attached, which meant you could go shopping & go back to the hotel to rest within minutes. The sky train is right there, literally less than a minutes walk.
I would recommend Medi Makeovers to anyone. They took care of all the details & I felt really looked after, not only before my surgery but after. If I could say one thing It would be there is nothing to be afraid of having surgery in Thailand. Yes there are risks with any surgery, but personally I felt like the risk was no greater than in Australia.

”I heard about Medi Makeovers from a friend of mine who had a breast augmentation a few years ago. She has since had 5 other friends use the company so Medi Makeovers couldn’t have come recommended higher.
Kim was so helpful from her first email, I emailed a couple of companies but Kim’s dedication to her job even meant replying to my emails on the weekend & late at night when I had a question. Most of the time I wouldn’t even need to ask as every email was very detailed. I was able to book my surgery quickly & there wasn’t a lengthy wait to have it which I loved & in the weeks leading up to the surgery & my departure date Kim would send me helpful emails with additional information to assist in my planning & to know what to expect. It couldn’t have gone more smoothly, it meant that I didn’t have to worry about a thing & I never once had to chase her up.
From the moment I arrived in Bangkok I was looked after with a guide waiting for me the moment I stepped off the plane, to walk me through the airport through customs & to my driver who took me to my amazing 5 star hotel. The hotel was stunning & right in the heart of everything, the staff were lovely, always accommodating, polite, helpful & attentive. The rooms were awesome & at such a great price, I know that I would not want to stay anywhere else if I was to come back to Bangkok.
The hospital & Tria were stunning & nothing like I expected, I didn’t feel like I was in a foreign country at all. All of the nurses were so lovely & at your beck & call, they understand that you’re not in your comfort zone so do everything to make you feel comfortable. I was so thankful that I had it done through Medi Makeovers & that I had my 2 days in hospital as I could not have imagined going home the same day which is what most Australian clinics do. I would have had no idea what to do without the around the clock care which fast tracked me to recovery, I am very thankful for the care I received from the nurses & staff at the hospital & Medi Makeovers.
Every step throughout this journey has been smooth & extremely professional i could not recommend a company higher, I absolutely love my new breasts & feel like a woman again, my confidence has boosted beyond compare & I now am proud of my body. After having a baby & breast feeding for a year & a half being left with no chest at only 24 was a kick to the self-confidence, finally feeling like me again is just fantastic.

”I first heard about Medi Makeovers from a friend who had a BA about 18 months ago and was absolutely over the moon with her results. She couldn’t speak highly enough about this company and the service they provided. The hotel was amazing and the level of care from the hospital was outstanding. She had a few friends who had gone with other companies in Thailand and were no where near as good when they compared their experiences. So this was all the info I needed to book with Medi Makeovers!
I then contacted Kim, who absolutely bent over backwards for me, getting my quotes promptly and answered my many questions (after work hours and on weekends!) Nothing was too much trouble for Kim, for which I am very grateful.
My only suggestion for anyone who has not had a full blood test in Australia before booking their trip overseas for surgery is to get one in Australia to ensure you have no prior medical conditions which may hinder your surgery in Thailand. I never needed a blood test before arriving in Bangkok and after having one the morning of my surgery, I was shocked to be told by my surgeon that he wouldn’t operate on me as he thought my blood wouldn’t clot properly. As I was completely unaware of this I was absolutely devastated, until Bo (Thailand coordinator) got me a second opinion at their other hospital and luckily I was operated on the following night. Everything went absolutely perfect and I couldn’t be happier. Bo from Medi Makeovers went that extra mile for me and I am so thankful. The hospital, Dr Rungkit and all the nurses were fantastic.
Our hotel Sacha Uno’s, was also lovely and it was a great location with very friendly staff.
All in all I would definitely recommend Medi Makeovers to anyone who is after a very professional company who offers fantastic cosmetic procedures at affordable prices with a free holiday to Bangkok at the same time!! (I was out shopping up a storm the day after I was discharged from hospital!!)

”I’ve had several friends who have booked and undergone cosmetic surgery in Thailand through Medi Makeovers, and they have all recommended Medi Makeovers. When I initially put my enquiries through in 2012, Raquel was very helpful and always promptly replied to my emails. Kim Pitkin, my consultant when I finally booked, was also the same; helpful and always replied to my emails, no matter how trivial my questions were such as recommending massage parlours or hair dressers in Bangkok. Kim sent me emails about everything I could possibly wanted or needed to know about my surgery and the rest of my stay in Thailand. She made sure I felt cared for post surgery by emailing me to see how I was going. It was such a relief to have someone take care of every aspect of the surgery for me because god knows surgery is stressful enough without having to think of everything yourself!
A representative from the hospital, Bangkok 9 International, met my partner and I at the airport, and waited with us until the Hospital’s transport arrived to deliver us to the residential ward of the Hospital, which is like a 3 star motel room on the higher levels of the Hospital building. This meant that the following morning, it was very easy to attend all the medical pre op appointments. The Hospital, whilst dated in some parts, was more than fine in others; it was clean and accessible, and I loved having my own serviced room which was like a hotel room, only not as luxurious. There was even a care package too, for the two nights hospital stay. The nurses were all very friendly and always around when you needed them. They spoke adequate English, and for some of the medical tests/consultations, a Medi Makeovers consultant also attended with you. She was also contactable at any time if required. So, the whole way, you are supported in one form or another.

”Dr Chatpong was professional and took the time to answer all my questions. He gave me realistic expectations as to my results. The consultation was about 30 minutes to an hour, but we discussed everything that I wanted to discuss, and although I was understandably nervous, I felt reassured and excited. Dr Chatpong attended to me another two times, once to remove my drainage, and the other to remove my stitches. He got my brief of what I wanted perfectly.
Once discharged from the Hospital, we stayed at the Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 in Sukhumvit. This was easily the most luxurious hotel I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in a few. It made the whole week to rest and heal so much more relaxing and an utter joy. I loved every minute of the week’s stay there.
The Hospital also provided transport to and from the Hospital from the hotel for the check up to remove the stitches, as well as transport to the airport. Every essential detail like that really was taken care of.
I can’t say enough about how much of a relief this was to have all this service provided and at the quality in which it was provided. You really felt cared for and valued.
Upon my arrival back home, I was greeted by lovely messages in the mailbox from Medi Makeovers welcoming me back and letting me know that they were still there for me – that was a lovely touch.
Overall, I recommend booking your surgery through Medi Makeovers. The service provided outweighs the fees, from arranging the scar oil and compression bras, to being supportive, informative and in constant communication throughout the whole journey. IF I ever get surgery in Thailand again, say for my nose or something, I would not hesitate to book it all through Medi Makeovers again.

”I went to Bangkok with Medi Makeovers for a breast lift and augmentation. My surgeon was Dr Rungkit. My decision to have treatment overseas was not made lightly, as I did have a lot of friends who tried to discourage it as they have all heard the 'horror' stories. Though after visiting two plastic surgeons in Melbourne - and being quoted over $20,000 (one surgeon quoted me $27,000!) - I knew I couldn't justify spending that much money on my breasts when I could be spending that money on my children. My breasts were saggy and deflated after breast feeding three children, and all I wanted was to be able to feel like myself again - and not have to hide my chest (Summer time was hell for me!).

I researched for a few months different companies that offered surgery overseas. Medi Makeovers was the first to respond to my enquiry, and they answered every little question I had. Some other agencies took up to a week to respond to my first enquiry and there was one company that didn't even respond at all! I liked that MM was Australian based and they seemed to have quite a lot of experience and a lot of happy clients - and they focused more on the surgery side instead of selling me the 'holiday'.

I was given a free surgery evaluation from Dr Rungkit online, and quoted 208,000THB for both procedures - which was about $7,800 - and I was shocked! That included everything for the surgery (minus flights and accommodation) and it was a relief to know I could afford to have the procedures I wanted. MM also organised my flights and accommodation - which totaled about $2000. When I arrived in Bangkok, everything ran like clockwork - I was picked up, taken to the Terminal 21 hotel - which is absolutely amazing! I have stayed in 5 star hotels before, but this was beautiful. AND it is ON TOP OF a shopping centre!! I paid roughly $140 a night for my room (I did do some sneaky checking online to see if I could get a better rate, and the cheapest price online I could find for the same room was $230!!).

I was picked up in the morning from the hotel and taken to the hospital. I had my consultation with the surgeon and also my pre-op tests. Dr Rungkit is the kindest surgeon I have ever met! He made me feel 100% comfortable, and I didn't feel 'inferior' or 'stupid' as I had felt with one surgeon in particular I had seen in Melbourne. My consultation lasted about 40 minutes and we went over absolutely everything. I chose 300cc round high profile implants with Dr Rungkit's advice and he put the implant half under my muscle and half over my muscle (dual plane). He also confirmed that I would be having an anchor lift. I was then taken to my hospital room to wait for surgery, which was really nice - when I've had surgery in Australia you have to wait in the big waiting room with everyone else then you wake up in a random room! But in Bangkok, I got to familiarise myself with my room and also set up a few things for when I returned, such as my laptop (they lock the room when you leave). I was taken down for surgery at about and I can't really remember much else except for seeing Dr Rungkit smiling as I drifted off and then waking up in recovery. Dr Rungkit came to visit me in my room every day (I was in hospital for 3 nights) and checked on me. He removed my drains on day three. The nurses were amazing, they helped me with absolutely anything I needed - from getting dressed and going to the bathroom, to helping my plug in my phone to charge! I was given morphine and had no problems with any of the pain meds that were given.

When I was discharged I was given medication for the time I had in Thailand, the nurses also helped me into my compression bra (the first time is always the hardest!). Back at the hotel I rested for the first few days and then had a few short shopping trips in between resting and massages. It was great to have time for myself - as I haven't had that for many years (and my husband definitely appreciated me a lot more when I returned home!). I had my hair washed and blow dried every two days for less than $10! and of course daily foot massages (also for less than $10!).

I met other men and women who were on similar trips with Medi Makeovers at breakfast and spent time with them exploring Bangkok. I took my time to really recover, and it really helped. The incisions for a breast lift are so precise that if you overdo things, it can be very easy to damage your body. And I didn't want to ruin the beautiful work that had just been done! 🙂 I had two follow up appointments with Dr Rungkit and he answered every question I had. I have also had a few questions since returning home and my consultant has been able to get an answer from Dr Rungkit for me very quickly. Overall, I really enjoyed my time in Bangkok - and I would do it all again.

The hospitals are absolutely amazing and the staff can't do enough for you. If you're thinking about going overseas, then go with Medi Makeovers - you won't be disappointed.
